2) Definition of OR gate – an OR gate is a logic circuit whose output becomes high WHEN ANY ONE OF ITS INPUTS IS HIGH. Its logic equation is –
Y = A + B
This equation shows that inputs A and B are related with OR mathematical operator. Thus, when A OR B is high, Y is high. The OR addition rules for all possible inputs combinations are –

CIRCUIT EXPLANATION
The circuit is using an op-amp LM 311. The sensor circuit formed using LDR1 activates counter 4033.LDR1 has a resistance of 2.2 kilo-ohms in daylight, which drops below 50 ohms when light beam falls on it. The frame format of used by UARTs is a low start bit, 5-8 data bits, optional parity bit, and 1 or 2 stop bits. Universal Asynchronous Receive/Transmit consists of baud rate generator, transmitter and receiver.
